The Artists - DeeDee DiMarco and Erin Eder

Longtime friends and co-founders DeeDee DiMarco and Erin Eder created Cedar + Deed more than five years ago as a way to merge their shared passion for timeless homes and beautiful design.

With a background in photography, DeeDee has a trained eye for composition, light, and detail—skills that seamlessly translate into her design work. Her journey has been anything but ordinary, weaving together family, travel, and artistry to inform her unique perspective. As a mother of six, she understands how essential functionality is in a home, but she approaches it with the vision of a true creative, designing spaces that are as livable as they are beautiful.

Born in California, Erin’s journey has taken her across the country—from Oregon to New York to Hawaii—each move shaping her design perspective. These diverse experiences have given her a unique understanding of how a house becomes a home, inspiring her innovative, personal approach to design. Erin has also experienced building a home from the ground up and, as a result, has a deeper understanding of the level of detail and decision making involved with extensive, long term projects.

After experiencing great success restoring and renovating older homes for sale, Cedar + Deed has naturally evolved to focus on residential design, with kitchens and baths being their love language. DeeDee and Erin shifted toward client work because they love the collaborative process and the one-of-a-kind results it creates.

Today, Cedar + Deed offers high-end residential design throughout Greater Rochester, NY and beyond. Their range of services includes everything from architectural planning consultations, furniture and decor selection, and single room design to new builds and whole home renovations.
